Looking at the anatomy of the internal structures of the female reproductive system, I’ve split this into two parts. Let’s cover the major organs of the pelvis first, and then the ligaments in the second part. I also talk a little about the menstrual cycle and its effects on the uterus, look at the site of fertilisation, and how oocytes, spermatozoa and blastocysts move around.

The herpes simplex virus is categorized into 2 types: HSV-1 and HSV-2.
Herpes virus type 1 causes oral herpes. And mainly transmitted by oral to oral contact.
Herpes virus type 2 is a sexually transmitted infection and it causes genital herpes.
Type 1 or Oral Herpes is mostly asymptomatic, but symptoms can include painful blisters or open sores (ulcers) in or around the mouth which is called cold sores.
Before appearance of blisters, the infected person can have some sensations on the skin like: Tingling, itching or burning around their mouth.
These symptoms can recur periodically, and the frequency varies from person to person.
The gold standard for diagnosing HSV-1 infection is HSV-1 serology.
Treatment: topical Docosanol, a saturated fatty alcohol is safe and effective against oral herpes. It is approved by FDA.
Also, the current recommendation is oral valacyclovir (2 grams twice daily for one day).
Effective antiviral medications include acyclovir and penciclovir.
Famciclovir or valacyclovir, taken in pill form, can be effective using a single day.
In immunocompromised patients, more aggressive treatment is needed.
People with symptoms of oral herpes should avoid oral contact with others including: kissing, oral sex, sharing objects that touched saliva.
It can be transmitted from oral or skin surfaces that appear normal; however, the greatest risk of transmission is when there are active sores
Symptoms of Genital Herpes:
Genital herpes can be asymptomatic or have mild symptoms that go unrecognized.
When symptoms occur, it characterized by one or more genital or anal blisters or ulcers. Additionally, symptoms of a new infection often include fever, body aches and swollen lymph nodes.
After an initial episode, which can be severe, symptoms may recur.
Genital herpes or type 2 herpes transmitted during sex through contact with genital or anal surfaces of someone infected with the virus. HSV-2 can be transmitted even if the skin looks normal and is often transmitted in the absence of symptoms.
In Case of genital Herpes, Primary infections with multiple ulcerating lesions will resolve after approximately 19 days, regardless of treatment interventions.
Treatment:
Acyclovir 400 mg tablets orally, 3 Times per day, for 7 to 10 days.
Valacyclovir 500 mg. 2 times per day. For 7-10 days.
In immunocompromised people, both herpes can have serious and severe symptoms, including meningoencephalitis. Brain inflammation. It can be fatal in case of both of herpes types.
Such cases treatment can be aggressive and chronic.
Epidemiology.
Herpesvirus type 1 is very common. It affects almost 67 % of population.
Herpesvirus type 2 is less common. It affects 13 % of world population.

The digestive process starts in your mouth when you chew. Chewing breaks the food into pieces while saliva mixes with the food. Once you begin swallowing, the process becomes automatic. Muscles in your esophagus propel food down to your stomach. a Ringlike muscle—called the lower esophageal sphincter, relaxes and lets food pass into the stomach. The stomach produces enzymes and acids and stomach muscles mix food and liquid with digestive juices. Then The stomach slowly empties this semi-fluid composition called chyme into the first section of the small intestine called the duodenum..

How does the food you eat turn into poop? This process begins in your mouth, when food is mixed with saliva chemical digestion begins. In saliva there is an enzyme called amylase, which is responsible for breaking down carbs. While mechanical digestion begins just when food is chewed.
The epiglottis is a flexible flap at the end of the larynx in the throat. It works as a switch between the larynx and the esophagus, letting air into the lungs and food into the esophagus. The esophagus is a tube made of muscles that run from the throat to the stomach and is about eight inches long.
The esophagus uses a process called peristalsis, which involves moving food from the mouth to the stomach. This process looks like a sea wave going through the muscle. Then the food enters the stomach, which is a round, hollow, “J” shaped organ, which is located between the esophagus and the duodenum. The stomach has three mechanical jobs:
First, the stomach has to store the food it has received in liquid and for this to happen, the muscle in the upper stomach has to relax so that it can take in a lot of food. The inner layer of the stomach is full of wrinkles known as rugae, these allow the stomach to stretch and make room for large meals, helping the digestive system to grasp and move food during digestion.
The second job of the stomach is to mix the liquid from the food with the digestive juice it produces. The muscles of the lower stomach mix these things by accident and break the food into small three-millimeter pieces.
Finally, the stomach slowly empties this acidic mixture into the small intestine; This is an organ in the gastrointestinal tract, where most of the final absorption of nutrients and materials from food takes place, is located between the stomach and large intestine, receives bile and pancreatic juice through the pancreatic duct to aid in digestion.
The duodenum is the first part of the small intestine. It gets food that has been partly digested from the stomach and starts to absorb nutrients. The duodenum is the smallest part of the small intestine. It is about 9 to 11 inches long and roughly horseshoe-shaped.
When pancreatic juice and bile are released into the duodenum, they help the body digest fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. Now that the food is in the stomach, it has a long way to go. The small intestine becomes 20 times longer as a person grows, while in a newborn it measures a little more than 200 centimeters, in an adult it reaches up to 6 meters. In adults, the inner walls of the small intestine show mucous folds, called “Plicae circulares" These folds are common in the early stages of life, but they shrink over time.
Digestion is very important as the body needs nutrients from food and drink to function properly and stay healthy. Nutrients include proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and water. Your digestive system breaks down nutrients into pieces that your body can receive and use to increase energy and cellular repair. Proteins break into amino acids, fats into fatty acids, and glycerol carbohydrates into simple sugars. What's left, which is mostly liquid, moves into the colon.
In this part of the small intestine, food particles become even smaller. Nutrients from food go to other organs of the body, water is taken up by the colon, while bacteria in the colon break down what's left, and the colon moves leftover material into the rectum. The rectum is like a storage support for waste. The muscles of the rectum move waste, called stool, out of the body through the anus.

Want something different than boring rocking chairs or lawn furniture to grace your beautiful front porch, or looking for a great and functional conversation piece for you deck or patio? Consider a Courting Board (aka Joggling Board)!
A Courting Board features a Southern Yellow Pine plank bench suspended between two sturdy cedar & hardwood end rockers. When sat upon, the bench “Joggles,” or bounces gently up/down while rocking side to side.
Courting Boards/ Joggling Boards have been popular in the South for centuries, particularly around Charleston, SC. Today they are found not only in parks, museums, and restaurants there, but also on the grand front porches and gardens of that beautiful city. Joggling Boards even have a St. Louis connection, as Joggling Boards were an attraction at the 1904 World’s Fair!
Legend maintains that “An unmarried daughter can never be found at the home that owns a Joggling Board.” In the 19th Century, courting couples would reportedly gently rock, sway, and exchange pleasantries from their respective ends of the bench. The bouncing/swaying motion of the board would eventually convey them each toward the middle of the Courting Board, where a more intimate moment could be shared.
A few experienced woodworking friends and I have begun building Courting Boards here in Kirkwood, in order to introduce these great rockers back to the Midwest. They may look deceptively simple, but perfecting the design and movement of these beautiful benches has been a labor of love. Our benches are made with premium lumber, including clear cedar, poplar, and Southern Yellow Pine. The rockers are coated with a dock-grade stain-sealer, and our planks are painted with ultra-premium Sherwin Williams Duration Exterior Paint.
The materials are expensive, but our labor is cheap! We have a few boards ready in the 12′-16′ range that we will sell for 0 each. We will custom-build you a Courting Board in any length from 8′-16′, in a range of plank colors, for only 9! Our adorable 4′ children’s rocking benches also double as the perfect nursery shelf… your choice of colors for only 9! We have a wraparound staircase in our entryway that creates an awkward nook where we’ve had a coat rack for years. But with the kids growing up, they’re not quite able to reach the hooks.
I’ve decided to build a custom bench that follows the angle of the staircase and then install hooks so they can make better use of the space for coats and backpacks.
